T. Nathanael “Nate” Shepherd

Nate has been serving lower middle market companies for more than 20 years, providing extensive investment, corporate oversight, and business development services. As a Co-Founder and Principal of TSG, Nate has served on the boards of 13 companies, all positioned in the lower middle market and throughout a variety of industry sectors. Current and former Directorship positions include specialty metal processing company Katahdin Industries, Inc., branded gift giving marketer Vermont Teddy Bear Co., Inc., and outdoor solar powered lighting firm SolarOne Solutions, Inc.

Prior to Founding TSG, Nate served as Director of Development of Perkins, a multi-service residential organization, leading the company’s business development, marketing, human resource and fund raising initiatives. He also served as Associate Director of PCS, a business development consulting agency.
