Malcolm Candlish

Malcolm has served as CEO of several well established consumer branded product companies throughout his career. Companies served include home safety products manufacturer First Alert, Inc., mattress supplier Sealy, Inc., and luggage supplier Samsonite Corp. Malcolm served in various senior management roles at consumer product companies Wilson Sporting Goods and Beatrice Companies.

Malcolm has also served as a Director of numerous private and publicly held companies. Companies previously served include power tool manufacturer Black and Decker, insurance provider Amerus Life Holdings, Inc., and beverage marketer Dr. Pepper/Seven-Up Companies, Inc. Malcolm’s earlier career experience included twelve years with McKinsey & Company, where he served as a Partner.

Our affiliation with Malcolm proceeded the founding of TSG, at a time when Malcolm and Tom Shepherd served various portfolio companies of the Thomas H. Lee Company. Malcolm joined TSG as an Operations Partner in 1999.
